When Sysco introduced complimentary daily lunches for employees, the cafeteria needed a fresh approach to keep up with demand.

With 600-800 employees passing through each day, an adjacent meeting room was repurposed to expand the popular salad bar, and the entire space underwent a thoughtful redesign.

The refreshed dining area now offers a mix of seating options for both dining and lounging, all designed to maximize natural light and views of the surrounding trees. Warm, natural materials tie back to Sysco’s sustainability values, creating a welcoming space that feels both functional and inviting.

Working closely with the Sysco team, Inventure reconfigured the layout to improve traffic flow and food service efficiency, reducing bottlenecks and creating a more seamless experience.

The redesigned dining space now offers a mix of seating options to suit different needs.

Communal tables bring people together for conversation and collaboration, while smaller tables and lounge areas provide a more relaxed spot for those looking to unwind. Seating was arranged to take advantage of the natural light and views of the tree-lined landscape, making the space feel open and inviting. Warm wood tones, textured finishes, and greenery reflect Sysco’s focus on sustainability, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for employees to enjoy their break.
